Pat Niekamp

Pat Niekamp is co-founder, publisher and resident evangelist of Texas CEO Magazine. Pat’s mission is connecting Texas businesses in person, through the pages of the magazine, website, e-newsletter and events in order to do business together and grow the Texas economy.

Pat’s background includes two decades of senior management, sales and marketing in the media industry. She has managed ABC affiliate TV stations in Ohio and Minnesota, led the sales and marketing efforts of several media organizations, and recently served a two-year term as President of the Austin Advertising Federation.

Karin Maake

Karin Maake is the Associate Publisher for Texas CEO and also handles public relations and marketing for the magazine.

Before joining the Texas CEO team, Karin worked in New York’s literary and magazine publishing industries where she orchestrated PR and marketing campaigns for authors Caroline Kennedy, Loretta Lynn, Ty Pennington and Ashanti, as well as consumer magazines Sporting News, Maxim and Legal Affairs.

Ms. Maake grew up in Houston and is a graduate of San Antonio’s Trinity University.

Ray Niekamp

Ray Niekamp

Ray Niekamp is Managing Editor of Texas CEO Magazine. He has 35 years’ experience as a journalist and journalism educator. Ray has worked in television news in Minneapolis, and along with his responsibilities at “Texas CEO,” is an Associate Professor in the School of Journalism & Mass Communication at Texas State University. Dr. Niekamp holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism from Southern Illinois University, a Master’s from the University of Minnesota, and a Ph.D. from Penn State.

Jason Myers

Jason Myers is an editor-at-large for Texas CEO Magazine. Jason brings extensive experience in the area of content and community building through the successful development of CEO Roundtables and events.

Jason is the former publisher of  Business District Magazine and the co-founder of the Texas Entrepreneur Networks and has served as marketing director for several companies in the high-tech sector.  Jason has a degree in Journalism from the University of Kansas in Lawrence.
