Jim has had the roles of President/CEO/GM with emerging technology companies serving a broad array of industries and markets. He is known for transforming businesses by building value in turnarounds and by growing market share under intense competition.
With comprehensive and direct hands-on experience in all aspects of acquisitions from initial strategic planning through assessment, negotiations, due diligence and post-acquisition integration of businesses, he has worked from both the buy-side and sell-side of many transactions in small as well as large multi-national company environments.
Jim has a BS in engineering from West Point, an MBA from St. Edward’s University and a Ph.D. in Management Science from the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas at Austin.
Phil Callahan, Director of Business Development, Silicon Labs
Phil joined Silicon Labs as Senior Marketing Manager in 2005, and moved into his current role of corporate development and M&A in 2015.
With a BSEE from the University of Cincinnati, Phil has worked at Agilent Technologies, Cicada Semiconductor, and Vitesse Semiconductor – now Microsemi – before joining Silicon Labs.
David Walther, Director, Transaction Advisory Services, RSM US LLP
David provides buy-side and sell-side financial due diligence services to private equity and corporate entities. His experience is primarily in the manufacturing, industrial products and business services industries. David has practiced financial due diligence for more than ten years. In his current role, he delivers analysis of quality of earnings, working capital and financial trends and advice and consultation regarding purchase agreements. His focus includes projects requiring complex data analysis including multiple entities and carve-outs.
